Feeling a little drunk!

Not really .... Just feeling a few drunkard path blocks! I have over 200 of them cut and ready for sewing. That's some of them hot off the press. I'm using the Quilts 1700-2010 fabric line from the V&A. If I'm lucky I might be piecing these blocks together tomorrow. They look like a long string of bunting at the moment.

And here's the next bundle waiting to be sewn. Look no pins! Now how did I do that?

Christmas Quilt Along part 2

After a minor interruption to collect no 4 child from a playdate, dinner and a marathon TV session of X Factor AND Strictly I packed everyone off to bed and finished the tumbler mystery! It's late now and the light is bad but here it is .. Ta dah! It's a carry bag for all my Christmas decorations and will possibly double as a Santa sack for extra large pressies. I made the pattern up as I went and I made a few boobs but it worked out ok in the end I think. The original quilted section started as a piece 42" x 53". The fabric was a cheapo bundle I picked up from Hobbycraft last year. Can't say I like the fabric or layout much but hey ho it's a functional thing now and I do love making stuff that's useful! Have a great Sunday everyone and thanks for the comments!

Christmas Quilt Along

It's the Christmas quilt along day today and I've just finished this top. It's ready for quilting now. Not saying who it will be gifted to yet but now is your chance to stake a claim !!

I'll be quilting next week with a bit of luck! I was late getting organised last time round so I thought I'd do some homework!! I quilted up the tumbler quilt with an allover stars design and now it's ready for stage 2 ... No this will not end up as a quilt! Come back later to see what has happened to it!

I'm blogging by phone today!! Haha I love technology! See you later! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
